The pig indicator function

The pig indicator is a necessary piece of equipment in the process of the long-haul pipeline through the ball descaling. It can accurately show whether the pig has passed a certain predetermined location, and assist in the smooth completion of the pigging line. Pig through indicator is a necessary piece of equipment in the pipeline ball descaling process. Direct and reliable indication and many other advantages, it can be positioned on the pipeline, fixed point through the mechanical structure to convey the passage of the pipeline pig object. Information is then provided to the operator through electrical, optical, audio, or a special clock second-level signal source to guide the process change.

Working principle

The firing pin that can be triggered bi-directionally is installed at the end of the extension sleeve and inserted into the pipe near the pipe wall through the nozzle of DN50. When the pig passes through, the firing pin is moved, and the action is transmitted to the instrument button through the connecting rod in the sealing bushing, triggering the display instrument to work.

The action produced by the firing pin triggers the instrument to work and realize the parameter recording. The operation button can also trigger the meter to realize parameter readings and battery tests.

Appearance of instrument

The instrument consists of a body and a display instrument, both of which are connected by knurled nuts.

There are two indicators on the dashboard, the Hit impact indicator for the main action and the T&R indicator for test and reset for button action only.

Working mode

Pig pass trigger: After the pig passes the trigger, the number of pass balls is increased by 1, the number of pass balls and cumulative time values are displayed upward, and the current time is displayed downward.

Button trigger: At any time, press the button on the side of the instrument to trigger an upward display of the exact date of the last pig pass, such as 06/02/15, i.e., February 15, 2006. Downlink displays the time of passing, such as 13:35:42 (13:35 minutes 42 seconds), displays the battery detection result after a delay of a period of time, and automatically shuts down after giving a prompt in both Chinese and English (when the battery is insufficient, it will automatically shut down after completing the count and recording the passing time to save energy).

Recording and display mode:

Installation method

Before installation, check the indicator mechanical body and display mechanism are flexible and reliable, According to the structure and installation diagram disassemble the mechanical body, welding the base and pipeline separately.

Welding base:

No pressure installation: clean the installation position, remove all attachments, reveal the metal color, straighten the base (welding azimuthal diagram), make the grooving direction of the upper end of the base parallel to the center line of the pipeline or the mark of the upper end of the base is in the center line of the pipeline (the grooving direction of the base or the mark is consistent with the movement direction of the plate machine). Press the base to prevent displacement or deflection during welding.

Installation with pressure: (refer to the instructions of the hole-cutting machine). Note: When soldering the base on the pipeline, limit the pressure P in the pipeline.

After welding and installation of the mechanical body, install the mechanical body in turn according to the structure and installation diagram, connect the display mechanism with fastening screws according to the structure and installation diagram, and adjust the direction of the display mechanism for easy observation.

To delete a record:

Press this key to delete all alarm records.

Display and query alarm record times (maximum 20 times):

Press this key, when there is no alarm record, and no display, when there is an alarm, the number of the alarm and switch record serial number will be displayed.

(time adjustment) Time adjustment key:

Press this key to adjust the time to the desired value.

(Set/Confirm) Select the modification time function and skip to the current modification bit to display the record content this key is to enter the Modify Time function. After the current bit is modified, press this key again to go to the next bit to continue the modification. When you want to query records, press this key to display the records.

Maintenance

The above part of the flange of the instrument can be disassembled with pressure, but the mechanical parts in this part are not easy to damage, it is recommended that the user do not disassemble.

The type 0 ring for sealing in the following part of the flange is a wearing part. Overpressure will reduce the service life. If leakage occurs, it is recommended to return to the manufacturer for maintenance and replacement.
